They were exported around the world by the British Empire, and Britain's influence in the world led to many of its sports being adopted in other countries. Sinhalese Sports Club Ground - The Sinhalese Sports Club SSC is the home of Sri Lanka cricket housing the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka (BCCSL) as well as being an important ground for major domestic and international matches. The first one-day international was played on February 13 1982 between Sri Lanka and England and the first Test match at the ground took place on March 16 1984 between Sri Lanka and New Zealand.
